I like your series. It explains things that I didn't think until you talked about them. Also, I liked your transition to square space... "Be smarter than OnePlus" LOL

TL:DW - different brands can target different market segments and consumers without confusing brand identity. It's not unique to the smartphone industry, its very common. A popular example would be VW that owns Porsche, Audi, SEAT etc. Porsche - luxury sports. Audi - saloon/sedan mid luxury. SEAT - semis/lorries. It's to avoid confusion

I wanted to buy One Plus X for several months but OnePlus just wasn't able to stock up their site, so I gave up. Maybe that's why the phone wasn't well received OnePlus, because people who wanted it, couldn't buy it

Your analysis is just
MIND BLOWING.
I think no one I repeat no one in the entire YouTube platform has ever seen the mobile phone market in this perspective.
If I had to choose between POCO and OnePlus I would go with POCO because OPPO fooled people by projecting OnePlus as a startup and used it to justify the nonavailability of some key features in their phone.

The way you added the sponsorship bit into the video was absolutely genius and amazing. I actually watched the bit.

Smartphones companies aren't the only ones with multiple brands.
Musical instrument companies have too.

Fender + Squier
Eagle + Hofma
Epiphone + Gibson
and so on

If at first you don't succeed, just pretend like it never happened and start a new brand.
