Tree Trouble Comes To Oaks On Long Island & Brooklyn

Until recently, it was only impacting trees in Upstate New York. CBS2's Elise Finch has more.

By planting oak trees in the city, it causes sqirrels to multiply. The reason is "acorns". These animals can cause a lot of of different problems, like chewing trough wire insulation, chewing on vegetables and fruits that people have planted, and they dig holes looking for acorns that they buried the season before. they do make a mess, I know because I have to deal with it - even before I retired when I would see the cable wire that was chewed on the external wall of a building.
