I have been listening to his music for 50 years and I have come to the conclusion that Carlos Santana is not only a great Mexican and American musician who has pioneered an innovative fusion of rock and Latin American music. In my opinion Carlos is an exceptional person: he has an extraordinary talent for creativity and self-expression, like many other famous writers, poets, actors, singers and musicians. He is positive, vital, optimistic and passionate. I feel that the warm and vital energy that he transmits with his music is born within him and is heated in the universe to give serenity and joy to those who listen to it. Heartfelt thanks Carlos

The first Santana album in my music collection, CARLOS SANTANA AND BUDDY MILES LIVE, I didn’t even buy.
Back in 1974, my best friend in HS lent it to me and I loved it so much somehow I ended up keeping it. It wasn’t done on purpose, I just kept listening to it and he never asked for it even though we used to hang out together all the time. I may have mentioned to him once or twice since music and girls were the two subjects we mostly talked about but he just ignored what I had said.
In 1980 I moved to NYC and lost contact with him. Sadly I found out a couple of yrs ago he had passed, victim of HIV, and so Santana's music will forever remain the link between my good friend and I.

I have also been following Carlos & his band for 50 years, having been to all of his concerts in Pittsburgh & Connecticut since then. My dearly departed mother was also a fan....one time I took her to a concert when she was in her 70's....in the pouring rain at an outdoor venue. She loved it & told me "she would remember that for as long as she has a memory." I share that same statement. Carlos is beyond talented in terms of his music, his spirituality, his compassion for others, and the living of his life in general. Our world is a better place because of him. I thank him as well. I feel so fortunate to have been able to enjoy his music for all these years. Keep it up, Carlos....for you are LOVED!

My kids first concert in 94 outdoors rain or shine. Santa fe Downs they will never forget. It rained I had brought a patio umbrella. It was great older kids played in the rain the young one, and I were dry along with a few others. Good memories

I first heard of Santana when he came to Ghana in 1971 for our Soul to Soul festival. I was a barely a teenager at the time. I have loved his music since. A truly gifted musician he is.

Santana. I’m 70. Im still a hippie since 1969. They have been my top 3 bands of all time. Sure there’s the stones n Beatles but my faves are Pink Floyd doors n Santana. Running up 4th place csn&y. Carlos still plays as great as ever, he is timeless. Last time I saw him is with Jeff Beck here n Austin killer double bill. I got to meet him afterwards he signed 2 things for me. I gave him a rare tape of srv he was looking for. Woodstock would not have been the same without him.

I was first exposed, lol, to Carlos Santana's music in 1970, when I was just 10 years old. My family had moved to West San Jose, from Fremont, in 1967,
and 3 doors down was a Mexican family with 3 daughters. The youngest one just happened to be in my grade.
I have loved his Music my entire life. AND when I discovered Suavicito on the B-side of a 45 record single, it became my favorite song.
Little did I know that Malo was Carlos'' brother, George!
I have to say that the music of Santana has, in reality, saved my life. In 2001, I went through a real hard break-up and the only thing that kept me sane and level-headed was to listen to my only 2 albums at volume 40💙💜
