Will Someone Shoot Cheney Family In The Face?

"Former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) detailed his side of the story of a confrontation with Lynne Cheney, mother of Republican Liz Cheney, over Simpson's ongoing support of Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.). Liz Cheney is running for Enzi's Senate seat.

In a letter to the Cody Enterprise of Wyoming, Simpson describes how Lynne Cheney repeatedly told him to "shut up" about his support for Enzi instead of Liz Cheney."* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

This just highlights the mindset of so many politicians. To respond to a perfectly legitimate argument with "shut up, just shut up" proves how unreasonable, bias and self centered they are. Its the response a child would have to his peers when proven wrong and told s/he can't have what s/he wants. I know Lynne Cheyney is just one person but we all known most of today's politicians are like this and it shows in their results. They care far more about what they want than what the majority wants.

I was engaged to a professional Republican, and went to a few fund-raisers.
They're office Christmas parties that happen all the time. Every one coincides with at least one political hack's personal meltdown.
The open bar becomes their downfall, and before you know it, legends are born and someone's career goes off track.
Always my favorite part of the evening.

After this report I know a little better why political society makes me so sick to the stomach. They were willing to slander a more or less honorable man. That reveals a lot about a persons character.
