It's a great tool to have for cold water and anything below 180° hot water. But it when it comes to steam boilers do not use it for that all for any hot water system that's about 200 reason it has a seal and the seal has a tendency I'm leaking in time but again only on hot water above that temperature. I have two of them and they work GREAT.
