Also you’re right about how people start to view you lol. I got my car for 10k but people look at me as if I spent 100k smh

It's an underrated car. I have 3 128i. They are very affordable and easier to work on. The n52 engine is solid. I wish I have a silver one.

I swear, sometime in the future, manual transmission 128i's are going to appreciate in value. It's just a matter of time...

Edit: Woah, thanks for all the likes!

Got my 2012 128i in March and I absolutely love this thing. I’ve pretty much taken care of the cosmetics now I’m looking to add some power/noise!

Got my 2011 128i back in October 2010. 6speed. My first new car I bought with my own money. It turned heads a bit in the 1st year and was exciting to drive. Not so exciting any more, but still a joy to drive. Might never sell it. The car means a lot to me.

Love the review, I have a 128i spd myself and it’s such a smooth and fun car to drive. Couldn’t agree more on the fact you’ll get looked at as rich driving one, but a guy who spent double on a truck doesn’t get the same judgment.
I look forward to more e82
vids, subbed!

Love it. There's really a lack of 128i content on YT and your channel does it really tastefully with no cringe like most YT car channels tend to do. I have a 128i MSport 6mt lemans blue and I absolutely baby it. Agree with everything you said, although mines stock minus a CDV delete which you should do if you haven't already.

love your explanation of “what you feed it is what it will deliver and it will make u a better driver”
couldn’t agree more, i tried drifting through a bend with not enough revs and poor initiation and ended up oversteering into a crash barrier. no one was hurt except for the a car a bit and was a great learning lesson on how i’m supposed to drive this car.

I have a 2011 128i, I love the way it drives, it's enough power to get me to and from work, it's flashy, cute, fast, and luxurious. I love the bucket seats, the way you can adjust the seat to hold you, and how the inside is catered to the drive with the radio slanted and everything.

The fact you have a slick top in america is super rare. The stupid sun roof adds so much weight.

My wife wanted a red 128i (E82) but here in Canada in 2011 they did not sell them, only in the US. We specially ordered a red one straight from Germany. Its really sweet looking in Crimson red. The road handling is awesome. It's a keeper....

Bought mine in 2017 to handle my then hour long commute to and from work expecting to wear it out in a few years and swap it out. I was so wrong, I will keep this car forever. It just asks for more, drive me harder it begs, and when you do it purrs. I have a Ducati 916 in the garage as well, one of the purest road machines you can find, and the little 128 holds its own for driving fun. There's just something about it that makes you love it, it has a real personality.

Here in the UK we get the 125i E82 which is exactly the same engine as the 128i, but with the 3 stage manifold, so a simple remap gives you anywhere between 265-285 bhp. I bought my 125i after having my 335i N54 for almost 3 years, mainly with the intention to use it as my daily. like you said, if you want a rewarding, fun, reliable daily drivers car that is still fast, the 125i/128i is a no brainer. If you want to chase numbers or just want something ridiculously fast the 135i/335i is the way to go. But do keep in mind that my 335i has cost me double the value of 125i ... yet.

With the way the E46 M3 market has gone this is the car to have and now is the time to get it. More and more people are going for the NA bimmers and more people are realizing there’s more to the life of driving than 60-130.

135i is cooler and is the one that gets all the attention, but truth must be said the 128i is fast enough for anybody and its amazing

I couldn't agree with you enough, i bought my 2011 BMW 128i in late 2016, done some preventative maintenance with the cooling system and accessories also did some modifications to where I Am now putting out 288WHP, with a throttle body remap the car is so much fun to drive and I am fender to fender with a 2019 RR Velar V8 and never been so proud.
