This drink is very refreshing & can be enjoyed on its own or as a mixer for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Traditional ginger ale is fermented from a microbial starter culture (yeast or ginger bug), sugar, fresh ginger root, other flavourings and water. But you need only basic ingredients like ginger, sugar and lime for this rejuvenating homemade Ginger ale recipe. It's quite easy to make as well.
Ginger as we all know has many health benefits like improving digestion, nausea & many more..
Commercial Ginger ale commonly contains high-fructose corn syrup and artificial or natural ginger-flavour which is why this homemade Ginger ale is much healthy.

Ingredients: For 1 cup Ginger simple syrup ( Serves 4 )
Grated or finely chopped ginger 1 cup
Sugar 3/4 cup
Lemon zest 1 - 2 tsp
Boiling water 2 cups
Soda water for serving
