If HDD were swapped, will it cause some error in the raid? Thanks in advance

Hi Dave. What are the limitations of this model compared to the DS218 Play costing about £50 more? Would the added performance and features of the Play model bring better overall value for a home user, particularly for 4K video? Thank you.

I have the DS 417 Play which you very kindly recommended to me and it simply superb but I was wondering could I “daisy chain” something like this to the Play when I run out of space or would I be better of looking at say 6 or 8 bay NAS? Oh by the way how’s the rebuild of the flooded room coming on?

I got at the moment omninas and this is now not ok to use with app on i phone and i got a reply from the manufacturer that they are no more upgraring the app yo comply with 64 bit and this is witb Ios 11

Useless unless you have empty drives available to start it with. It wipes the disks you try to install, so unless you already have spare disk space you're a bit screwed.

I tested a lot of "white series" of synology nas devices - honesyly its a JOKE from peoble to sell so slow devices! Synology DSM is terribly slow on many white devices! not depended from hdd, just cpu, ram etc is DAMN SLOW, couple process and apps runing and You have system freeze
