Wow the Japanese automakers have really fallen behind in electric vehicles. If they hadn’t wasted time on hydrogen and ignoring EVs they could have been dominant. Now they will lose huge market share. It’s already happening in Australia and New Zealand.

There is no end to this Toyota hydrogen stupidity saga. There is literally nothing FCEV is better at than BEV and with further development the advantage of batteries is only getting bigger.

Faraday announces production limited to 300. Is that a threat or a promise?

I thought that Toyota would stop it with the fuel cells with the relatively recent change of CEO but nope, doesn’t bode well!

Does anybody consider Hydrogen a viable fuel alternative for autos?
California, the worlds showroom for new auto models, sold <1k H autos in 2022. Excellent numbers in mpge and range of 403 miles per charge. Cost of purchase is a major factor as is availibility of H refueling stations. Road trips are ok in Ca. only as long as you plan your trip to stay in range of a refueling depot. This is a compliance expiremental vehicle.

Looks like Toyota just can't stop sinking good money after bad, into hydrogen vehicles.

I just don't get why Toyota continues to invest so heavily in hydrogen, it just feels like they are throwing away resources and falling further and further behind, when they should have been in a leadership position in EVs.

Toyota and H2, the result of government getting involved in areas it shouldn't. This could really set the entire Nippon automotive industry for failure.

If Toyota really wanted to push their hydrogen fuel cell vehicles why not partner with oil companies like Shell and Arco to install hydrogen refill stations at all their gas stations? It makes more sense to get the infrastructure built before throwing billions of dollars into fuel cell vehicles with less than 1% of the infrastructure being built out for consumers.

Does this Toyota Hydrogen Division going to do research and resolve decades known and old issue
1. Production of Hydrogen
- will it be from renewal and carbon-neutral resources
2. Hydrogen distribution and storage.
- We have EV charges now at even most unlikely places
3. Cost for all above and especially owners of hydrogen vehicles
- Will it be affordable to those from transport businesses all the way to man-in-the-street

What we have been hearing are repeats of decades old only Toyota (and their likes) consider as "news"

Burial in ICE will be a fitting end for Toyota. Paradigm paralysis is fatal, and the death is slow. Let's give an imaginary wave goodbye, they're done.

FF91 sell for $300k!!? wow! if you have that kind of money. Lucid Air sapphire max is probably better option.
