It’s a great and reliable video. Was facing this kinda issue back then with my emission test so I had to look for a way, which was how I came across Stray Admin who has got years in experience of helping lots of citizens pass they’re Smog test too

Excellent explanation.

TOTALLY agree with first three. But, maybe B4 replacing a Cat, super expensive:
1. Fill with premium gas and try fuel injection cleaner or a fuel injection service with some good Gas Cleaner like Sea Foam. Then use Catyclean for last 1/4 tank, and refill with Premium.

Then, B4 the Smog Check, run the car at least 10-20 minutes at highway speed, and keep it idling b4 the smog. A hot engine burns cleaner.

Also, don't disconnect the battery too soon b4 a smog bcuz it clears the codes and registers too many incompletes. Needs 25-30 start-stop cycles for most cars to pass.

Smog test are really stressful on upkeep made me find a way everytime i buy a new car, this made situations hard but seems YouTube and Channel's like Stray Administration represent a stress free civilization making these fast for our purpose...💯

My 2008 Nissan Altima failed the emission test and could not find the cause. Sparkplug, Injectors, MAF, Oxygen sensors, Catalytic converter, Piston rings everything was addressed but the problem still persisted. Finally, someone noticed that the temperature gauge was always showing a very low value. And it was because the thermostat valve was faulty and was stuck open and the ECU was sensing it as cold start condition always and the fuel air ratio was running rich. The fuel economy was much better after replacing the thermostat valve but I miss the sporty acceleration and pick-up when it was running rich.
Thought might be useful to someone.

I have a 98 jeep with 205k miles on it, & it just barely failed the NOx at 15mph, but passed the 25mph. I was told seafoaming the engine would help clean out the carbon deposits that make it run hotter which causes a higher NOx level. If cars have problems with cooling systems, like air bubbles in the engine, it could run hotter too & need to be "burped" after a flush. I didn't drive it very much before testing it, so it's also recommended to drive it around & burn out the carbon buildup before bringing it in to test. I'm in the process now of trying to lower my NOx levels by at least 34, it failed by 32 on the 15mph test. Everything else was fine though. I'm going to finish seafoaming it, drive through the rest of the gas, change the oil, try to clean out some parts, check lines, vacuum, etc., & then see if that lowers it without having to get a new catalytic converter. That would cost more than I paid for the jeep! Hope this helps too, a lot of people recommend seafoaming before a test as well!

I failed four times then I drive it in the highway for 16 miles without turning the engine off. Passed!

A high quality video with reliable tips and skills, but mine was carried out by stray admin, he makes it possible for you to pass without attending any test or procedure, in a busy person so I had no time for emission test and still went well anyways.. I only had to hit the YouTube search icon and type in Stray Administration, popped right after..

Problem I had with my 97 Camry was the Catalyst Monitor wouldn’t switch to the readiness status. Drove the car for the next 4 days reaching almost 200 miles for all the I/M Readiness Monitor to be in OK status.

What I do when the check engine light is on I disconnect the battery to turn it off and run the car for like 30 miles and arrive at smog check place. Hot and Ready hoping it passes

I just check the tire pressure make sure there at proper pressure

I have no problem with gases emitted as it is passed and clear but my car, a Jaguar 1999, show Code 1000 on ODB2 scan, that is no error code but INC or incomplete drive cycle. Unreadiness. I did the drive cycle as I could understand but it still wont change and I don't see the completion of cycle even after 1 month and hundreds of miles... Can you help me as to what I should do?

Also running Supreme gas (91) octane a day before the smog helps as well. And also make sure your car is warmed up before you go.
