Did You Know That In Aladdin...

Despite a lot of hype for the much anticipated release of the live action movie based on the classic fairytale of the same name, moviegoers were upset by the rendition. Even though the movie has made over $1 billion since 2019, it is often listed as “underwhelming” and “disappointing “ by fans. The soundtrack received praise along with the special effects. But popular actor Will Smith’s portrayal as Genie garnered significantly negative reviews, many critics calling the actor’s take on the character, “annoying” & “awkward”. The movie is a remake of the 1992 animated film which was the highest grossing film of the year & is fondly remembered as one of the most-beloved animated films.

I’m glad that Will Smith did his own take on the genie, as it would have been infuriating if he tried to mimic Robin Williams. I personally didn’t love the movie, but I didn’t mind Will as the genie.

Will Smith as Genie works when he’s allowed to be himself, it fails when he has to be Robin Williams. Your real problem was Jafar. The guy they chose wasn’t impressive, was pretty wimpy, and just over all a let down.

I love the original Disney movie soo much..and I also love this remake a lot too, Will did not try to be Robin, he knew he shouldn't touch it but rather he chose to be he's own genie, whose funny and awesome I thought .. honestly I even love everything else about this movie a lot
