For me, depende sa chord ng kanta . For example ang chord is C chord, it contains C, E and G notes, sure that one of those note ang main voice so you can choose in two remaining notes if anong harmony mo

Suggest ko lang sa lahat dito, we always refer po sa Standard tone ng Piano and Music notes in referring to getting a chord for harmonization. If sintunado ka, di pa pwede ang Harmonization sayo. If inclined ka in singing, harmonization can still be learned. Singing with choir "can" also help.
