If you never really told the guy how you felt about him, it's no wonder he's taken an interest in someone else after getting no romantic vibes from you for 8 consecutive years. As far as your best friend goes, it's not that she doesn't want to hang out with you anymore. She's trying to get to know the guy better and can't do so if she focuses more on hanging out with just her "lady" friends. You should forget about the guy you like and move on for now.

You can download software from MajorGeeks which is capable of undeleting "permanently" deleted files (even files which were deleted from the recycle bin). When a file is erased from the hard drive, it isn't actually erased; it's only marked as deleted. As long as it isn't overwritten with a new file, it's still there on the hard drive, and you can recover it using special software.
