Ha, in my AWD in sport mode the phone shoots back into the rear cup holder.
Passengers think it’s great.
Love the car!

Hi Bjørn, thanks for yet another great video. I just wanted to point out that the infotainment is slightly less clumsy if you disable the split screen option. You can then view the energy consumption with fewer clicks.

Sounds like a great daily for me- you usually don't need huge trunk, you drive same route so navi is not so important and you don't have much time for listening symphonic music, but the car is comfortable, fast charging and you can "enjoy the silence" 😉 Let's hope hyundai will study Bjorn's test and in short time they will upgrade software. Great job, as usual!!!

The flappy paddles get more use in my Ioniq 5 than they every did in my old VW Passat. I hardly ever use the brake peddle.

I've got an Ioniq 6 First Edition. I'm 6ft 3in and have no issues with headroom in the front or back. HUD is perfect too 👍

It is so interesting. The increase/decrease of the autospeed is the same as in the classic Ioniq, the same for the lane assist, the slight left/right is the same 😀I have gotten so used to it, that I hardly notice anymore. And when it comes to all things software related, I hope that Hyundai hears the customers and does some changes in the OTA update.

I am a taller driver (193 cm or 6’4”.) I sat inside an Ioniq 6 last week; I found the front seat headroom to be sufficient provided there was no sunroof, The rear seat did not have good headroom though.

Hi Bjorn. Out of the Ioniq 6 and EV6, which one is better?

Test drove one as I'm very interested. I currently have a Model 3 LR. The most striking detail about the Ioniq 6 is the build quality. It's immaculately built and so much quieter than my M3. It's not even close. I wish Tesla would put some emphasis into both. Once I find an AWD at MSRP I'm upgrading.

I like the camera view position
It's more interesting watching this way compared to dashboard camera. So pls be using this camera position

I'm in the US. Word is that Hyundai are horrible to deal with at the dealership level. I just heard a comment that they think they are selling Bugatti. I bought a Tesla just so that i didn't have to deal with dealership pain and suffereing (MSRP+a boatload of add ons). It would be nice to buy other brands and not have to deal with crooks and cons (car salesmen).

Like a boss! You cut through the Ionic 6 hype like a ninja. I was already leaning against buying because of the pathetic cargo space design, but you sealed the deal by pointing out numerous UX design and software issues.

Keen to see your review on the RZ450e.

My very picky partner and my picky son liked the I6 and my son brought one (SE AWD or Preferred in Canada). He is loving it. Getting an average of 15.3 (4.1) efficiency even the mountains of British Columbia. My son is 6' 4" and the SE fits but he found the SEL (Ultimate) tight in the front seat. The back seat works for me with a longish torso (5'11") but not for him. I am on the wait list for the next one in town! We have tried Tesla and liked the Y but liked the Ioniq 6 more, especially since Tesla is going LFP in Canada and Canadian prices are not great. (love the Tesla charging and nav!!!)

I test drove a Ioniq 5 in Oct 2021 and the autosteer disengaged without warning on quite a few occasions even when going straight ahead. Im sure its improved since then but seeing it disengage with you in that tunnel without warning is not good. Its got plenty of beeps for other things but not that.

Interesting review. But, I challenge you to the pothole, you have not seen anything like the horrible roads we have here in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Also, is it possible that said heavier electric vehicles are making this worst?! :O. Not trying to stir up the crowd, but legit question. Our electric buses are at least 2.* heavier than their Diesel burning equivalent. I am off to try said Ioniq 6 this week and will be keeping an eye out for the auto-steeri, suspension feed back and steering feel.

Thanks for the ride along. I have a question, when you do reviews, you tend to compare cars by class versus its contemporary. A coffee from a 7-11 for instance will never match the taste of Blue Mountain coffee. But when you review the I6, you rate it to a car it was never meant to complete against in design or technology. The I6 is NOT a tesla any more than 7-11 is Blue Mountain. Even though they have a similar purpose, its rules are based on what its target market is able and willing to pay. The EV is not as new to you and I but to Hyundai's target market, those buyers have their toes in the water and Hyundai, Ford, Rivian, BYD, build for said target and hope the volume is sustaining so improvements are possible. (Recalls, software updates and human error etc.) What killed Fisker was not having the engineering to continue to improve it. So, my question what is the value to me to know in the final analysis that the I6 isn't good enough because other more expensive offerings are better? How is the I6 as compared to its contemporary? You never got to that.

Nice series of tests again! It would be interesting to also (range) test the 53 KWh version of this car, since it is the most efficient currently in EV Database.

I personally love the cockpit-inspired design.

You didn’t mention steering feel. How was it? Another reviewer, Automotive Press I think, said it felt Porsche like.

The UI is convient for 99+% of uses while driving. I love the gear selector and assistant buttons on the wheel.

The stack-less wheel design on Tesla is trash.
