This is about the the IAF’s lop-sided victory over the Syrian Air Force in 1982. In what came to be known as the Bekaa Valley War, Israel scored 82 kills in a 46-hour period with zero losses of their own. #shorts

It's not just the quality of the planes, but the quality of the pilots flying them

I heard that the Russians complained that some of the migs weren't even shot down. The Syrian pilots were ejecting when their lock on radar warnings went off. They were ejecting before they were ever hit. That was actually a smart idea.

No F-15 has ever been brought down by hostile fire.

82 military Jets! That's enough to bankrupt most countries Air Force! Don't mess with the Israeli Air Force!

Bro the Israelis weren’t just more advanced, they had better pilots. Those ceasefires were made to protect evil groups from destruction like Hamas. Don’t mess with Israel or you will heavily regret it.

The subsequent realisation by Russia of its vast technology lag was a factor in the fall of communism in my opinion

The Israeli people are some of the best trained and most highly motivated fighters on the planet. The arab world is still licking their wounds after countless attacks and losses.

Cease fires are meant to protect evil aggressors from being totally destroyed

The Israeli superiority was because they trained to think independently. The US equipment was vastly superior because of better knowledge about soviet aircraft (read the billions dollar spy), better training against the migs (look up constant peg) AWACs, and just outright better electronics.
The F16s and f15s were specifically designed to counter Soviet aircraft being flown in secret adversarial roles in the US. The US had the full blueprints of almost all Soviet aircraft.

Saw an documentation about the lebanon war not long ago. I was shocked, real shocked, seeing the syrian airforce getting so obliterated and not only that, but they also lost with their t-72s *and* anti-tank helicopter support against israels new prototyp markava tanks. I couldnt explain myself how till someone mentioned that an smaller, better equipt and skilled army is suppirior to an bigger, less skilled one with inferior equipment. But what was the real problem of these factors?

This guy forgot to mention that only 2 Israeli jets were damaged by the Syrians

I was on the Eisenhower when this happened. A6 intruders were involved and one was shot down, resulting in an air crew being taken prisoner. Jesse Jackson got them released

A friend of mine, Issam, was a Syrian fighter pilot back then. He was fortunate to not get shot down. I'm pro Israel and Christian by the way...

The performance of an aircraft shouldn't solely bear the blame for shortcomings. In 1982, despite being advanced, the MiG-21 was a widely utilized fighter worldwide, as showcased in the 2019 Indian Air Force engagement against Pakistani F-16s. This incident underscores the significance of pilot skill; even with superior aircraft like the F-35, inadequate pilot proficiency can lead to defeat against ostensibly lesser adversaries..!!
