It's the deadliest ship on the seven seas- especially if you're serving aboard. It's the Admiral Kuznetsov, and it's the absolute worst ship to ever sail under the Russian flag. Check out today's epic new video that takes a deeper look at Russia's embarrassment of an aircraft carrier and why Putin is terrified to go up toe to toe with any other navy fleet.

It sails with dignity... If Dignity was the name of the tug that accompanies it 24/7

The Admiral Kuznetsov is truly a frightening ship. Every time they tug it through danish waters it hits the news here, with worries it will spill oil, or even sink armed with nuclear warheads. I can not think of a more scary ship really!

As a sailor, I can confirm 100% why our ships can run so much longer than other navies. It all boils down to preventative maintenance. I can say that easily 50% of my underway workload was maintenance. Most of it being preventative. Taking apart gear, cleaning it, lubing it and reassembly. Also hours upon hours of cleaning and inspections. We always knew what was about to break and could schedule around it. Pulling into port triggered tons of work to fix things before they broke.

The US military understands that a battle is won long before it's fought, and by upkeeping the gear, it will save your life and turn the tide.

The Kuznetsov is not a fire hazard, it's a ship with an autonomous automatic heating system.

I strongly support Russia keeping Kuznetsov going. It’s a great source of video material and gobbles up a big piece of the defense budget. These are good things.

Man if you turned this ship's history into a drinking game, everytime someone says, "But due to budget cuts" you'll be wasted in no time

In the US, sailors are rewarded by being assigned to an aircraft carrier. In Russia, sailors are punished by being assigned to an aircraft carrier, mainly the Kuznetsov. And speaking of which, the Russian navy has already formed a navy task force of their own, which is basically the Kuznetsov being escorted by tugboats.

I was in charge of finding OSINT (open source intel, ie information that was publicly available) when Kuznetsov went underway to Syria. The memes were plentiful and they were *savage* 🤣 My favorite had to be a cost-analysis of the deployment, with by far the largest piece of the pie chart being "aircraft crashing into the sea".

Worst ship to sail under the Russian flag? The Kamchatka might have something to say about that...

US carriers are very reliable, but contrary to the claim at 18:00, they do get major maintenance. As a typical example, the Theodore Roosevelt was taken out of service in 2009 for refueling and upgrades. Four years and $2.6 billion later the ship returned to service. US carriers are not immune from failures either. In 2008, the George Washington had a fire that cost 37 lives and did $70 million of damage. There have also been many snapped cables and crashed planes, as the ocean is a very demanding place to train and fight regardless of who's doing it.

Putin: "hail, Admiral Kuznetsov"

Kuznetsov: "end it all, please, just end me"

This boat is a sailing Three Stooges Movie. Someone should make a horror film about it. I’ve never heard of one boat having so many accidents. The Dry dock trying to take it to the bottom of the ocean made me lose it. I laughed so hard 😂

I was going to say that no the Kamchatka was worse but then I remembered that the Kamchatka could at least sail under its own power.

It could be better described as a "carrier-like object".

I was on the USS Truett F F 1095 and in 1977 we actually followed the Russian carrier cruiser ship Kiev through the Suez Canal as a matter fact we were independent on the med cruise we shadowed it everywhere it went, the Russians at the time were bringing in Cuban pilots to train with the Somali‘s!Our skipper was Commander Tom Lynch now a retired rear admiral he was the best skipper I ever had out of my whole naval career! :-)

Admiral Kuznetsov: I didn't choose the tug life, the tug life chose me.

Didn't they build it with engines that could run off a wide range of fuel-grades, and as a result runs really inefficiently while belching copious amounts of smoke?
