How to Uninstall & Delete Apps on Android in 2024

To uninstall an Android app:
Swipe up on your home screen to reveal all of your apps.
Find the app you want to delete.
Hold down the app icon to reveal a pop-up menu.
Tap Uninstall.
Tap OK to confirm that you want to delete the app.

If you select an app that came built into your device, you might not have the option to uninstall. Instead, you’ll see a “Disable” button. Disabling an app will remove it from your home screen and disallow it from running or updating. To remove a built-in app, tap Disable. In the menu that appears, tap Disable to confirm. Apps that are essential to your device, such as Settings and Phone will not have the option to uninstall or disable.

I just got the new s24+...and the disable, uninstall option goes away before i can drag the app there! I mean that fast. It sounds ridiculous i know, but I'm serious. I 've uninstalled plenty of apps off my screens before so it's not user error. And these are not pre-installed. I know this is a dated post but it still comes up in a search. I'd appreciate any help.. this is driving me crazy!

I tried holding down the unwanted apps for Uninstall and it doesn't give me the option to delete or Uninstall unwanted apps...

Have tried all of the above and it does not permanently uninstall the app it keeps installing itself

what about apps that's are not on my home screen? Like I can see them in the apps menu in settings but I can't find anyway to remove them or to even move them to my home screen and delete them the way you've shown.
