Why isnt any one talking about corporate profits and the effect it has on inflation. Corporate profits drove 53% of inflation during the second and third quarters of 2023 and more than one-third since the start of the pandemic.

What the government NEEDS to do is indict the companies that are keeping their costs high and pocketing the new-found profits! That will solve high prices really fast!

As a consumer I am having to purchase more because I am pregnant and have gestational diabetes. My clothes don’t fit the same and I have to purchase new clothing and other important supplies/groceries to be comfortable and healthy. The inflation is extreme and I no longer feel middle class even with an educator salary.

“Inflation” feels higher than 3.5%. They said we keep spending even though prices are higher. Of course we keep spending because eating is essential. When prices go up on food, you can’t get less food. You have to keep buying food. Also… wages are up? Maybe the hiring wage is up, but we that have been working aren’t seeing a 9-10% pay increase. So the question becomes, what wages are up? O you mean in California where they raised the fast food working minimum wage to $20 an hour…. wonder if that will raise prices? (Sarcasm there…. For those who wouldn’t know that)

Hey Tom, clean drinking water cost money to provide. You can have all the free water you want by drinking from a river or a lake. Now if you get sick, that’s on you. It cost money to process the raw water that you drink. We treat it by flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and adding the chlorine that deactivates any remaining pathogens. So don’t be telling people that clean safe drinking water should be free. Everything costs and the minuscule amount that municipalities charge for water is outdated. It is hardly enough to cover the costs of treatment chemicals and electricity for the giant pumps that send it into the system. Think about it.

Tommy Llamas we have been doing business with the "Federal Reserve Bank of New York" since 1918. When I don't like my banks interest rates or service I change banks. When you Talking Heads refer to the "Feds" and setting interest rates you let citizens think you are talking about a US Gov. agency it is a private company. Do a Real Top Story about that, if you have the balls.
