So you love coffee and want to upgrade your home brewing setup?

Getting into making espresso at home is a dangerous, and here's my guide on how to do it!

It's a rabbit hole of constantly upgrading espresso machines, tampers, grinders, and more things you didn't know existed!

You've been warned!!

(PS sorry for the small screen format, I may film a new larger version of this one day!)

“For some reason you’ll need these bean tubes” 😂

This is highly exaggerated, you absolutely don't need a mirror.

You can also forget about ever enjoying a coffeeshop coffee again, ever. Great video.

I enjoy watching videos of people making coffee. Such an art form. I would never want to do all that myself lol

-Moka pot ($20-50)
-Third wave water mineral packs ($1.42 worth added to each gallon of distilled)
-Fresh roasted medium-dark whole bean coffee (estimate $0.40 per double shot equivalent)
-Kingrinder P0 hand grinder ($33)
-Hand frother ($10)

Doesn’t need to be expensive.

very true, although I'm still stuck with my very first espresso machine, my grinder collection has been expanded, well, serval times. And buying beans from roasters across the continent, lol

100% accurate. IMO, most people get into espresso or atleast got motivated because of youtube influencers. And seeing those bottomless shots, gadgets etc., at first you lie to yourself you wont get in to those stuffs, just the machine and the grinder. but then, here we are with an overcrowded coffee nook. Just got myself a 200$ tamper btw. 😂😂😂

Ok you've convinced me. I'm starting my home espresso journey thanks to your video. Oh also, what's the upgraded knockbox drawer you've settled on?

Oof! Thank goodness for local cafes! I've got respect for coffee makers. It's an art.

This was nice. As a parent of a toddler and newborn, and who often either has to drink cold coffee or reheat coffee (trying to finish one cup while it’s hot can be difficult) do you have any tips on which coffees taste the best cold or reheated? Tips on really easy ways to get decent tasting coffee that don’t take more then a few seconds to do? If not I understand, who really wants to drink hot coffee that’s turned cold or reheat it.

@thebrownbarista Could you please tell what that black colored tamper that you just press with your finger at 0:22 is called? I've been seeing it in several short videos but I can't for the life of me figure out what brand it is. 🙏 Also, do you like using it? Thanks!

I dont agree with this. For beginner baristas a small cheap machine will do. Also that type of machine is expensive

Welp, looks like that espresso is too dangerous! I better buy a pet alligator instead 🙃😆

I’ve spent $3000 so far and I still need to spend more to get to a decent espresso level. I’m waiting for my force Tamper and Acaia scales

What Puck drawer is that? It looks like my Bambino Plus might fit on top of it! That or my Niche Zero 🤔 Either way, one less thing sitting on The counter in my tiny kitchen!
