Hi, this is a great example for a v n hlook up combination. I was searching for a reverse option which means, can we use vlookup within hlookup?

I have watched multiple tutorials, they are awesome.  I have a spreadsheet that I'm working on that I could use some help on however I'm not sure which one of your vidoes I should be watching.  One column has years of service (example 14.08) and the other has the hard coded pay grade (example A10).  Then it to look on a table on another sheet to say, A10 down and years of service across would be this salary.  I have tried about every formula under the sun that I can think of but am not having any luck.  Would it be possible to pick your brain on what to do?

I am typing it exactly as you did and I keep getting an error. It seems so simple to understand so it's definitely something I am doing wrong.
