When the Independence Police Department got a call on the 15th of December 2022 requesting a welfare check for Amberly Harris, the Officers assumed it was going to be a simple routine check, but Unbeknownst to the Officers they were about to uncover the biggest Murder Case the City of Independence had ever seen.

As the Investigation into the bizarre murder unfolded the Detectives wanted nothing more than to figure out why she was killed and the disturbing event that led to her gruesome murder.

also - a little advice from someone who has witnessed a lot … the first time a partner shows signs of controlling behavior or abusive behavior, make it the LAST TIME!! them not wanting you to wear makeup or a certain outfit, not talk to someone, any signs of control or abuse - the end!! no more dating, phone calls etc. it’s okay to be independent, single. lean on yourself; you are the only person guaranteed to be with you your entire life lol. i really hope this helps someone…

The narrator says that Amberly still loves him, and that made it hard to leave him. But in my opinion, it's hard to leave because abused person believes that they don't deserve better and are not worthy of respect. It may be due to already having a low self esteem or because the abuser has used verbal abuse and has caused the victim to think that way. Either way, domestic violence is a vicious cycle and hard to get out of for so many people.

This makes me so angry, my daughter was just murdered 4 weeks ago by her bf. He also was very abusive with her. She just turned 28, 20 days prior to her murder. Her personality matches this woman almost to a T.

I know a person like this. The only reason she keeps going back to him is for drugs. It’s very sad and then they argue they split up for like a week and then she needs more drugs so she goes back to him clearly putting herself in danger I will never understand addiction. It is a sad and scary thing to watch.

one thing i’ve come to realize is there is no totally safe place to live. sad but true. i’ve seen so many true crime shows and many mention how safe the area was, people didn’t lock their doors, etc. there’s places that are maybe safer than others, but no place is 100% safe

The puppy must have been Amberly’s. Pup was on the bed desperately seeking help for her. Most likely thought, finally someone who will help my mom 😢


I needed help once and I was told my 2 cats, mainly 🐈‍⬛ Luna, took EMT right to me. Apparently she sat by head until I was on the stretcher. Luna jumped in the ambulance 🚑 with me.

Amberly had some love while her vessel lay there waiting 🙏🏼

he's a meth head. More to this story. There was a reason Amberly didn't have custody of her kids and chose to live with a meth head. I feel bad for the dog. I hope got placed into a loving home. People make their own choices...dogs cannot
