Regarding Glue-ups: After nearly 40 years as a custom woodworking shop owner the tip I'm going to share with you here is the most amazing and useful of all.

When gluing up two pieces of material and you are concerned about typical sliding around issues, such as when pieces have glue on them, use a small amount of table salt to stop the typical movement as clamping force is applied. Only the smallest pinch of salt is required. For example; if attempting to glue the edge of plywood to the face surface of another piece, let's say 12 inches in length, you might only distribute 30 or 40 actual grains of salt into the glue prior to attempting to add clamps. Salt is crystalline in its structure and has sharp points which become embedded in the wood surfaces as pressure is applied. Of course salt will dissolve in moments, but not before the surfaces as secure.

Bonus: when applying glue refrain from applying glue simply by dripping it from a squeezed bottle and then pushing the surfaces together. It is far better to smear the glue over the entire area being glued. This method will help ensure that enough glue has been used, and give the greatest structural advantage.

Remember: You do want a bit of glue squeeze-out as items are clamped together. This ensure the joint has sufficient glue. The excess can easily be wiped away with a damp rag. One further issue: DON'T ADD TOO MUCH CLAMPING PRESSURE. This is the most common mistake made by less experienced wood workers. Doing this will starve the joint of sufficient glue to best fill the pores of the wood being worked.

Jon 😮😅! Oh bloody hell! You're definitely in the naughty corner: for letting Jess get a concussion and for your 😸 song! But, you did show all those 3Ts which I admit are all brilliant bits of kit for the workshop 🤔. Jess, I don't know what you're going to do with him, especially since he's rubbing off on you. 😂 Jon if you get Jess some more take away and cake for breakfast you'll be pardoned 🤣. Thanks for the laughs and inspiration guys. The build is really shaping up nicely. And as usual, the video ended too quickly. See ya next week 👋

Thanks for the shout out guys!! The Wago connectors definitely help with Luke’s operator error of the soldering iron. Maybe he needs a battery powered one so he doesn’t have to wait for the electricity ⚡️

Millie and Kenzie are stoked to be the Tool tip girls for the 3d printers. They have been asking for us to get one!

The printers are awesome for doing things like custom wireways, mounts, vents and covers. Lots of software options out there for design like OnShape and FreeCAD. I've got at least a dozen widgets in my teardrop that were printed in the 'workshop'.

And I am back from my 🇺🇸 road trip. Again, hitting Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma (smithed three railroad spike knives) Illinois, Nashville Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and out……. A lot of miles, only two nights in Hotels, the rest with friends in their homes. Just everything was amazing. Now trying to upload videos here is a struggle.
But your build, as always delivers the best content and educational content too. Thanks again.
