Показать описание
Inside a starter motor solenoid, there is typically a cylindrical coil of wire that is surrounded by a ferromagnetic core. The coil is connected to the battery and when power is applied, it generates a magnetic field that pulls a plunger or rod inward. The plunger is attached to a switch that connects the battery to the starter motor, allowing the motor to turn the engine.

The solenoid also contains a spring that pushes the plunger back out when power is removed, which disconnects the starter motor from the battery. This prevents the starter motor from continuing to run after the engine has started.

Additionally, the solenoid may also contain various electrical connections, such as terminals for the battery and starter motor cables, as well as connections to other electrical components in the vehicle's starting system.
