11:04 11:09 wow what a comment. "I dont need them .. or want them for anything." Thats crazy to say something like that because they serve no utility in your life. 😮

I typically enjoy your podcast and find your level of insight useful more often than not, but I found the advice given here very weak. When it comes to challenging conversations, particularly given family dynamics (but any challenging conversations within organizations or friendships, etc.) there are skill sets that one can learn. There are books and people who are experts at navigating challenging conversations that I would encourage you to review so that the advice you’re speaking into other people is based on some actual social emotional intelligence and psychology vs just personal experience. Navigating these kinds of difficult conversations can either heal or deeply hurt family dynamics and it’s worth taking a little time to learn how to do it more respectfully and effectively. And I realize that at 40 — your parents at 70 may seem very old, but I can assure you - I am nearing 70 myself and I’m more active, independent, successful, fulfilled, , and enlivened with life than ever. I have two sons in their 40s — trust me — you’re just getting started, and God willing your folks are in good health, so are they 🎈
