I want to see some ACTUAL realistic "that girl" routines. 9-5 workers, moms, women with disabilities, more women of color etc.. it's like the same thing over and over with slight alterations! We can be the best version of ourselves in different ways. (:

It's really easy to be "that girl" when your job is to film being that girl. Influencers are doing 2 things at once. Be that girl while having to work a job that's not being an influencer. I know many people say filming adds time, which I'm sure that part of the job feels the most joby (?). Lol. But it's a different thing when you're attempting to be "that girl" in addition to being a real ass person.

With chronic health issues, each day is unpredictable. I embrace being "Adapt Girl" 🤷‍♀️😅

RE: making your bed in the morning
I make my bed almost every day. I understand the thinking of "why bother when it's just going to get messy later." But for me, it's 100% psychological. It takes me maybe a minute and when I walk in the room later and it looks nice and the bed is made it's a HUGE weight off my anxiety. It also helps me start the day with a "win." A tiny accomplishment where, if I get nothing else completed for the day, that task, which doesn't take me long, is reliably done. I never was required to make my bed as a kid and rarely did it as a young adult, but since making it a habit, it's been something I've really enjoyed having completed every day. But that's just me of course. Love your content so much, Abbey!

Yesterday I had a binge for the first time in months and immediately felt the impulse to restringe the next day, but then I remembered Abbey’s teachings about not letting ourselves get into the binge-restringe cycle and it helped me a lot. Thank you for helping me in this journey of healing my relationship with food

Realistic for you may be very different from realistic for others. Whatever routines make people feel better and take care of themselves (in various ways) is good by me

8:05 made me cry and changed my life. I just wish the rest of the world, especially schools and employers, would respect that.

I love the idea that you should implement only those parts of 'that girl' into your routine that bring you joy! Personally, I noticed that when I spend 3 additional minutes on styling my food and making it look pretty, I feel so much better and it seems like even the taste itself improves. So for me spending time on this little thing is not a sacrifice but a simple way to bring more joyful moments into my day!

I always use the phrase “you don’t have to have a perfect ___ in order to have a healthy ___.” Lately it has been super comforting and is a great way to be kind to myself. I want to see this more in that girl routines!!

I feel like being “that girl” should be different for everyone. I’m a mom of 3 and am so busy in the mornings that just waking up 30 minutes early to wash my face, brush my teeth and have some coffee makes me feel like “that girl”. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've always been an early morning kinda girl (workout, shower, cook, eat, clean, grocery shop all before 9 am). However, I feel like a lot of "that girl" videos glorify getting up early as a discipline thing like you mentioned when really it requires a give and take and a flexible schedule. If I had a job that made me work late or kids or anything that requires me to do anything after 10 pm there's no way I could have this routine. And if I go too hard on my workout I need a 3pm nap which is definitely not their version of "productive and disciplined." I'm lucky since I get to mostly make my own work schedule but for so many people it's simply unattainable.

Tara is the only lifestyle influencer I follow on YouTube.

Can I just say how much I appreciate this take!? Social media has this way of pressuring you into thinking all of these will better your life but nobody ever asks if they is something that just causes this weird pressure to do it all, without thinking if it actually makes you happy? This was super eye opening, thank you!

I don't tick-tock, but I think someone needs to champion the "this girl" tend. This girl wakes up 30 minutes before signing into work. This girl is sometimes late because she had to poop a second time. This girl eats when she has time and ain't nobody got time to make flavored water.

Toward the end, your "You're that girl, you're enough" message really hit home. I feel like that girl.... but my routine as a stay at home mom and Co business owner, does not qualify at all... not even close. I'm barely holding it together most days. Thanks for being real 💕

Love your style. Straight to the point. I’ve watched Tara videos off and on even though I’m almost 70. Enjoy seeing different parts of Toronto and her place in Los Angeles. She’s a little over dramatic at times but I love her parents. Thank you for sharing. New subscriber 💕🇨🇦

I needed this reminder that we don't need to be productive every day. Thank you!! I love your videos!
