Honestly, i think c is the best one for beginners, its hard because its new, learning c force you to understand about memory, data type, compiling, ... low level stuffs. I started out with python and only understand my code on a surface level, sometimes i didnt even know what i was doing.

C++ could also open opportunities in the gaming industry where many engines support it. Also, surprisingly, Assembly could still give you jobs to this very day in the gaming industry. For example, the bootloader of a console's OS will be written in Assembly.

When deciding between JavaScript and Python, I decided to go with Python.

I wanted to learn js so I could have the requisite knowledge for the MERN stack but decided that it was more important to learn the fundamentals of one language well rather than aim at a particular tech stack.

It's been almost 20 years since I took CS courses ( Java ) I thought it best to understand the fundamentals thoroughly and have a general purpose language.

As for a low level language I would be revisiting C, but I think I'll take a bet with Rust.

Unlike Python or Typescript, PHP has many modules preinstalled that add many native functions that can be used out of the box without needing to manually install packages like other languages require. Give PHP some love.

If you want to be an expert programmer, then start with low/medium level laguages. If you start with high level laguages you'll never want to learn lower level laguages.
