Hypnos seems to be responding on the subconscious level, using phrases he's used a lot and are ingrained into his mind. From what I can see, they're all distortions of the things he'd say to Zagreus in Hades 1

I’m still hoping that the subplot doesn’t end up as just a gag. Its clear in Hades 1 that Hypnos cares very deeply about Thanatos and nyx, i dont think he’d sleep just because he can when they’re both in danger. If he’s still asleep in this dream i assume every time you give him another dream vapor in the future you’ll travel to a deeper level of his mind. We can see from the massive stacks of parchment that he feels overworked, maybe that’ll lead somewhere?

My theory is he is conscience of whats going on, and most titans in greek mythology used dream scape esc magic he is fighting them in "deep sleep"

In terms of what he says when she enters, I believe its using phrases he says a lot to warn melinoe.
"Welcome to the hou" genuinely saing welcome, doesnt say hades since this is his realm/house
"a wake im a wake" Trying to tell her he is cognative in his state
"so you walked straight into" either stating that she walked into his "dream" or warning her of what chronos has in store with her
"dream come true thanks for stopping by" This is the most frightening part, the realm of dreams is huge in mythology. He might be making an illusion inside the dream scape that will effect the material one, or the titans are trying to do something similar and he is stopping then

Charon does have dialog saying he is more useful as he is now to the war efforts, so I believe he is fighting the good fight in his own realm.

Y'know, he says "Welcome to the how--" 'How' not 'Hou(se)' - and maybe the joke is on Melinoë, when it's us that knows he's saying "Welcome to the House of Hades, " but what if he really means 'how' as in he's *doing something*. He does then say "dream come true"!

everyone points out the Than and Hades cut outs, but did no one notice the red shade hidden amongst the crowd? Could have been Zag's fan from the arena, or Zag himself given he came along the same way Shades would whenever they entered the house
