Northern Water Snake. My ex caught one of those once, and a couple of days later, we woke up to 33 babies. She was nasty for about a week, and after that she was sweet.

The head' profile shape, on all Copperheads from any area, regardless of pattern or color, are the same, and visibly different than nonvenomous snakes, though similar to Cottonmouths, in shape.

I rescued a copperhead that mistakenly entered the building I worked in. I released it in an area I thought it would like. I couldn't pick out a copperhead in a police lineup.

Bars on the lips (labial bars) is how identify the water snakes from the cottonmouths down here in Texas.

Yeah, but those babies being handled are copperheads. There's even one yellow tail showing. I don't know how she's getting away with it. Baby copperheads are usually pretty nippy.

Man I was fishing in indiana in this cotton mouth swim right by me I was waste deep in water it was bout 3 feet long I bout shit next thing I did when I seen it I stay real steal in let it glide past me he was like a foot away I was lucky not to get bit thank God I didn't know these snakes where in indiana I from Florida there in almost every pond down there
