That’s not guacamole. You’re missing the cilantro, onion, tomato, jalapeño, etc.

That’s no more than a lemon avocado spread

Edit because I didn’t expect this to garner this much attention: you can consider it guacamole since it is mashed avocados, but the addition of vegetables, cilantro, and jalapeño adds textural contrast and extra depth of flavor. Also, I wouldn’t have even made the comment if the title of the video wasn’t pretentious/entitled; this isn’t the “right” way, just a way.

I like how he sliced the avocado really thin then showed it off like it was going to be garnish then mashed it all together anyway 😂

Just cutting things quickly and having flaky salt doesn’t make you the best chef ever

Humble brag slicing like that only to mash it up.

Btw the tip that he gave the one where he confirms the avocado was ripe? Won't it be the same thing for over ripe too?

As a south Texan, people make guac many different ways, but the lack of at least onion & cilantro is atypical in my experience

You have no idea how glad I am that you didn’t put gold flakes on it.

In asia we eat it as dessert. We combine squashed avocado, powdered milk, sugar and a bit of liquid milk then we add crushed ice.

Sometimes I think a lot of you forget that every chef/cook is completely different from one another. There’s no point in hating on the way he cooks cause it’s original to him.

The sound when he was cutting the avocado sounded like music from an old horror movie
