How To Make A Layer In FL Studio (Using Layer & Patcher)

I think patcher is better because you can place all the layers right there without placing multiple of them in the channel rack, which I think may prevent CPU overload, because having a big project requires a bigger CPU to run properly.

This is a very helpful function, you can edit everything in one layer :D, but I wonder if this feature is only available in FL Studio?

I'm trying to remember, but I think this is only effective for the VSTs playing on the same octave. What if you wanted one of the instruments to play an octave lower or higher?

any idea why Patcher won't play notes from the piano roll? I can hear audio when playing notes on a midi controller, but when put notes into the piano roll for Patcher, there is no sound, even though i can just hit a key on my controller and get sound. What am I doing wrong?
