For anyone watching this in 2022 or later and using itellij you don't need sts as intellij detects spring automatically.

I used IntelliJ & Java 12for this course and it works just fine, only minor tweaks required

Hi Kaushik is it like we need a 32 bit jdk even if your OS is of 64 bit for the STS?

Because STS could not start up with 64 bit jdk and worked well with 32 bit jdk.

Please correct me.
