as a child growing up my father would always make this come down to my room and say “Brett dad made cream of wheat and toast come eat with me” now I’m 28 and I just finished two bowls just now, had to see if I made it correctly lol because he’s no longer around to cook it 🕊️

Every time you scraped the pan with that whisk my entire body immediately tensed up because I was waiting for my mom's hand to fly out of nowhere and slap me for using metal in a non stick pan.

Milk is better. Add sugar to milk while it’s boiling add salt 🧂 just a bit. Then add the cream of wheat

40 years ago I was a single mother of 3 little ones. I worked but there was never enough $. One time I got down to a little milk, a small box of Cream of Wheat and luckily I had a little sugar. I fed my kids this for 2 days until payday. I felt guilty but they loved it! They didn't even realize it was all we had. It is good stuff and it can get you through a hard couple of days. I have a box in my pantry now. I'm thinking of making some for breakfast this morning. thx for the video.

I LOVE creme of wheet :D. It makes me estatic to see this tutorial on how to eat creme of wheet. My mom died from a tumour 5 years prior and she made cremm of wheet a lot. I love creme of wheet. its pretty nice.

This was so good as a kid. My mom didn't stir as much so it made chunky balls that I lived for now I miss it😢

Mix in a flavored yogurt after you make your cream of wheat. Different flavor every day. Its so good! I put banana cream yogurt into my cream of wheat today! Also I put it into a glass so I can drink it. It flows well enough. No need for a spoon and it makes it easy to take it with you if you use a throw away plastic cup!

Cook with hemp seed milk for the “cream” add brown sugar and real maple syrup and any toppings you’d like chocolate granola or berries or flaked coconut

If you're not making this for your baby. Use milk. Pinch of salt and vanilla extract. Boil till thick. Off stove. Add cinnamon and sugar or brown sugar to your liking. Eye ball the ingredients.🤤

My grandma used to make it for me my brother and sister. She passed away, my mom made it for us. Im afraid ill mess it up this step by step helps alot thank you

You can just let it steam itself, no need to keep stirring. You do everything the same up to the point after stirring it into the boiling water, bring it back up to a boil, remove from heat and cover with a kitchen towel. Let it sit there for between 3 and 5 minutes while you do other things, and there ya go. I like mine a little thicker too, so it's 1 cup of water to 1/4 cup of cream of wheat. I use this same method when cooking quick oatmeal too.

I always ate this by putting a teaspoon of sugar covering the top, then eating that layer, & repeating with the sugar, but I always ate what you just called serving for 2 as a child, & used 5 or 6 teaspoons of sugar, mostly for texture/crunch.
