Is Games Workshop DOING TOO MUCH? Warhammer MONEY GRAB, More $45 Single Models We Don't Need

Is Games Workshop Doing Too Much? with constant new editions, boxed sets, and a never ending stream of new characters, I cant help but notice, Games Workshop seems more and more, to be producing products that we dont really need! While i always appreciate a new model, would it be better for Games Workshop to take a step back, and focus its limited resources more efficiently, instead of just pumping out new models, with hopes that they will sell??? #New40k #NewAoS #BigSig #TabletopBROs #WarHammerMan #WarHammerManStudios

As long as people are buying, they're not doing too much

I do appreciate that they finally seems to be focusing on keeping up with stock a little bit, it’s something every growing company needs to get on top of, and the sooner the better. This also means they’re a bit stuck with prior choices done for ranges a while, and it really show some weak points. I’m overall still glad seeing this, since I actually think the whole FOMO-era of marketing in part was a way to keep sales up under a period where they lacked the capacity to actually offer proper volumes. Really hope 2025 will be a fresh start, where they maintain a better pace in production, and focus on fixing some range issues. If I could wish for one thing, it’s that they’d make some actually interesting filler stuff, like a box of 20 civilians for Necromunda, cosmetic plastic kits for all the 40k factions and bring back some creativity, without messing with the WYSIWYG. To me, that’s what I wanna do inbetween major refreshes, new factions and editions dropping. Random named characters doesn’t give me what I’, m looking for, I need something that can keep me busy for a while. Offer something fun for hobbyists that doesn’t effect the gameplay and competitive players too much. That’d be cadring to two different demographics, without them colliding, which could equal good reliable income. Basically, I wanna se GW succeed operating as a major company.

It's not something I would kill to have, but i would like the Dawnbringer boxes, Start Collecting, the old Combat Patrols to all still be in stock and available to buy. It would make collecting armies easier and possibly cheaper.

GW still hasn’t finished transitioning all their kits from resin to plastic—especially for the Eldar and Dark Eldar ranges. Personally, my wish list would include a Warhammer 40K version of Underworlds, and perhaps a dedicated vehicle combat rule set that works with existing 40K miniatures.

What id like: online free rules and more detachments for index armies
Recent things i hate: kill team rebox for 20$ more than before and no other way to get some of those models

Necromunda and old world models are models we don’t need? We aren’t all 40k paypigs. Keep making your videos about how GW rips off customers while also mentioning you’re buying almost every new 40k release.

I think they need to relax a bit, way too many boxes I want at once 🤪

Good video, and definitely agree that GW has been pumping out product but not the kind of product that everyone want.

Wish they'd do:
Model line for Emperors children 40k.
Expand the Chaos Marines range a bit.
Ornate blood angel units. Like a sword brethren level dedicated model kit.
Blood angels christmas box that's just as good as the Dark angels box.
New Samuel model for Ravenwing.
Range update to MESBG troop choices.

Things they released that i wasnt interested in:
Recent model releases for MESBG. I like the Rohan warriors range update. But didnt care for half of the characters.
Skaventide.
Stormcast line.
Necromunda character kits.
All the lore books.
Underworlds.
Ratling thanksgiving model.
Goblin christmas model
Fuegan.
Mechanicum Army.
Their entire joytoy collaboration.
New kill team starter edition, not interested in the kill teams in the launch box.

Would love to see salamanders get more unique content... Maybe update their vulkan he'stan at least... He is not primaris yet and his model is tiny compared to other models... Looks goofy... The amount of fans and newbies that like salamanders is pretty big, but so little is done with them. I would LOVE a Blood angles or dark angels treatment with our own models, codex, or eventually prime arc... White scars still lack much with bike leaders and vehicles in general... I mean, there are so many holes to fill throughout 40k, but I am not seeing them filled. Waiting to pay, but they don't want that money.

Did you notice that GW announced the model in the "suspensor chair" at the same time as there's a heated discussion on Twitter/X about space marines using wheelchairs (and to a lesser extent the use of wheelchairs in fantasy settings in general)? Curious timing.

They must know that 3d printing is coming

placeholder "token" models like Whisper Merchants, Fixers and such are really really niche for Necromunda. These models almost never see actual gameplay. They are usually included for abilities that affect the pre and post game activity.

That said, Delaque players have been begging for an Ash Wastes vehicle for the better part of a year now, and it just seems that they will be the only gang without one as they continue to pump out more crap like this.

Range refreshes for all army models that need it would be nice

The dice boycott must continue! To be honest I haven’t bought anything new from GW this year. I must admit that new Necromunda model looks sweet!

I don't judge what people want. It makes sense that the connected sub games will work a long side new additions of the main game and The Old World was brought in due to public demand. I also imagine that Necromunda fans appreciate these new characters.

A lot of things look nice, but unless you have tons of free time to paint there is no way to keep up with it all.

I might go back to GW but they would have to reissue old kits, 1:1 old kits/boxes. Most of us want pre 2020 product combat and starter boxes at least at pre 2020 pricing. But that's on GW for being ran so poorly.

I wish that they would abandon forge world resin already. I do get hyped to see games like Necromunda getting more models, but then left disappointed when I find they are frequently resin still.

The launch of multiple products has nothing to do with the customer. Any competition that produces something that could be a threat. They produce a similar scale. When Warlords games produced epic or the Perry brothers did, bang Epic Heresy. Even name changes from Combat patrol to battleforce are coincidentally similar to other company releases. They are just ruthless in the pursuit of business. Along with the pursuit of disposable hobby income.

I thought this the other day theyve down sized Lord of the rings presumably to save money. Theyve massively put the brakes on 40k codexes. Like for real is every faction even gonna get one in 10th theres a year left? Could they be having money troubles? I cant see how, theyre richer than ever but still.
