I’m a catholic, the one thing that gives me hope is, Christ is the head of the church, and we the laity are the body. Not this pope, not the corrupt priest.

Francis has lost the plot. Enter through the narrow gate etc etc. Me, a practicing catholic, I follow the Bible and talk with my parish priest about all things, I know what's right and wrong and am not self righteous, I just know which way is up and endeavour to adhere to the Lord's teachings each day. At "My" Parish, there were 40 people at RCIA last Thursday evening. We have kids in their parents' laps during Mass. We've paid off our Church years ahead of schedule. There are 9 regular people on the Pastoral Council. Members clean the church, cut the grass, maintain, repair, serve at Mass, sing in the choir, support the poor and nuns, etc. In short, we are a Stewardship Parish." So, I think Peterson -- whom I truly admire -- needs to come here to see the other side of the coin. And we are NOT alone, here. We have 225 families.

I am Catholic and I agree. The Church is not meant to stay relèvent it is meant to keep the word of God and follow the mandate Jesus have to St Peter when he told him he was the rock upon which his church would be built.

Family-in-law member who grew up in the Catholic church ended up attending to a non-denominational bible church once married, and stated that they'd learned more about the bible from this non-denominational church than all the years growing up in the Catholic church.
