He is correct, save souls, that is how we save the planet. The earth will be blessed if the people are righteous. That is biblical, the fact that the pope has it backwards is a very telling sign.

Jordan Peterson is absolutely right. Bergoglio is watering down the faith with this “environmentalism, ” and constant talk of “mercy;” never do we hear of sacrifice, or redemption. Jesus did not “speak for the trees!” He spoke of man’s need for holiness. When He saved the woman from stoning, He did not send her off justified. Instead Jesus told her “Go, and sin no more.”

Great Jordan Peterson even if he's not catholic. His claims here are based on truth.

Very few parish churches in our Galveston Houston Diocese dare to mention the issues of abortion, rainbows, etc. They don't want to scare off the people in the pews. I guess.
