What do you do if toilet paper is sold out and using other kinds of paper will clog the pipes? Americans use an average of 23.6 toilet paper rolls per person a year. A bidet could be the best way to reduce that quantity. Today I am going to show you how to make four different DIY portable bidets, using simple materials you already have. #PortableBidets #toiletpaper

If you are interested in a bidet seat, you can watch my other video on how to install a simple #bidet seat, here is the URL:

It is worth noting that an inexpensive bidet seat does not offer a feminine wash, only the high-end unit has front wash feature. So still this video of portable bidet can benefit the needs of female users for front wash if you have a lower-end bidet seat. Anyway, in general there are bidet solutions that are not that expensive. You can recoup the money pretty fast. Plus it is cleaner and better for your skin, brings comfort to people with hemorrhoids, prevents toilet clogs and is better for the environment.

Some viewers asked this question: "What do you do to dry your wet bum, afterwards?" There are three groups of people:
2. People in group 2 will answer with the question: "After a shower, how do you dry your wet bum afterwards?" The implied answer is that you can do the exactly the same, that is the answer.
3. The third group of people will do something in between group 1 and group 2. They will have a few bum towels, and wash them separately from other clothes, with bleach.

What do you do if face shields are in short supply? Face shields are especially critical for medical staff, but a lot of suppliers are out of stock. This video will show you how to make your own, two different designs you can choose from:

Have you ever tested how effective your handwashing is? You still get a cold every year even though you swear that you washed your hands very well, right? This video will provide a way for you to test your handwashing skills or you can use this as a way to convince your kids to wash hands well. Also this test method can help us to try different methods.

The plastic applicator bottle from hair dye works really well.

during the pandemic, I bought a portable bidet. It was too much water and didn't work. Since it looked like a mini shower head, I actually turned it into that - using it as a small shower head to use less water in the shower - just a small amount of water where I need it at one time and no letting the water run while I'm washing with soap.

It didn't work as well as I had hoped, because I run out of water too quickly and have to refill with soapy hands. So I decided to take a sparklett's 5 gallon bottle and add a primo manual pump to it. So now I can use the portable bidet with that and that should work. I didn't try that yet, but every step gets me there.

YES! shampoo bottle with secured cap! i'm trying that one. after a long fruitless search for TP and only finding empty shelves, bidets are looking like a better option. panic buying and scarce resources forces people to change

I got a water flosser not long ago which has a Normal, soft and pulse mode and mine came with different heads, so I might try it out as a makeshift electric bidet with one of the other heads I got with it that I haven’t used.

Great idea! I realize you and people in other countries already do this, but to my fellow Americans - please be sure to regularly wash the handheld bottle and tubes you are using as a bidet. To dry off, use old wash cloths, or ripped up old t-shirts. Have a basket or bag by the toilet just for the used cloths. Throw the cloths away or wash them in really hot soapy water. Also, toilet paper really isn't all that necessary if you are at home and can shower off. 🙂

I like how you got really technical with various ideas. I didn't see any that I could use, but it gave me more insights.

If I were a tp manufacturer, I would be nervous of how sales may drop after the covid19 lockdown if people now learning cheaper and easy alternatives decide to continue with the alternative.

Much simpler: Just remove the little tube from a dollar store spray bottle and hold the bottle upside down. You just set the nozle to a jet. I just tried it, it works really well.
Actualy the spray bottle didn't do the work. I 'd only tried it above my sink. When I tried it for real, the je spray wasn't strong enough. It would be ok to clean a baby though.

Thanks. Im going to use the hair dye bottle for now until I install a hand held bidet sprayer. Actually my clear bottles are from Walmart, used for catsup/mustard. Super cheap I think they are $1 each.

I always thought about condiment bottles as an idea, because they can be collapsible. Thoughts?

I think I thought of an idea to fix the whole running out of water issue. There's something called an aerovoir that's used for aerogardens. It has a hose with a squeeze bottle attached to a 1 gal jug. Somehow I feel that would work. I'd love to see a video on that.

Go to Michael's craft store and in the cake section buy a couple of squeeze icing plastic bottles. They have 6 or 8 oz and other sizes. They work great. No mess, no tape or glue.

A bidet is a good option I plan to try one of these. If you plan to stick anything besides toilet paper down a toilet forget that. Use a waste can.

Do you have a video for other issues with bidets outside of if the design sprays well or not? Just general ones like how the water is cold or you can run out of water and how to fix it?

Alternative to toilet paper, get a hand held sponge scrub at the dollar tree, use a spray bottle with soap and water.
Its great to see people sharing their ideas in the absence of toilet paper.

Is there a video you have where you try out different bidet ideas and see what works and doesn't?
