“We’ll be rating the Dark Souls DLCs in chronological order.”

Rating DLCs in order in a land in which time is convoluted? What a grand and intoxicating innocence.

The lack of knowledge of how to view the first boss of the ivory king DLC shows a lack of respect for the sixth house. What a grand and intoxicating innocence

Orphan of Kos was such a major pain, 80 tries. Ludwig, 57 tries. Darkeater Midir, close to 200 tries but for him I had no internet at the time so when I finally killed him it was the most satisfying kill I've had in most soulsborne games. He drew out so many emotions from me. Rage, hatred, anger, bliss and satisfaction. I felt so much when I was fighting him and when I finally beat him.

There are two types of Dark Souls/Eldin Ring gamers - those who already played a game published by Bandai and those who hadn't.

To be fair, ds2 sotfs fixes a lot of issues from the vanilla ds2 (except iron keep's enemy placement) and overall improves the game by quite a bit. And only the DLC's optional areas are ganky, as they are supposed to be played with a player. It is a shame that the game does not provide an NPC to help you out, would've been great.

But, to say that the base game of ds2 sotfs is not good or its boss quality isn't good, or how you fall off the cliff a lot, might I remind you about the absolute BS filled in ds1? Or ds3? Shall I remind you of the poison swamps from ds3's final DLC? Heck ds1 has a lot more tight edges you have to walk upon.

And boss quality of ds2 sotfs is on par with ds1. Given they give you new drops in ng+, are replayable, have changes to them in ng+, are overall less BS than ds1's, etc. they're at worst on par with ds1's quality. Before you start spouting off orienstien and smough from ds1's base game, let me remind you about the dual pursuer fight from ds2 ng+, dark lurker (yeah, I know you forgot that one), the sinner, smelter demon, etc. And ds1 ain't all roses and sunshine. Pinwheel, ceaseless discharge, lost izaliath, the 3 asylum demons (talk about reskinning a boss more than ds2), etc. all show you just how bad ds1's bosses are too.

all ds2 dlcs are great but its like they put ONE area with an AWFUL boss while 2 bosses are great its like they do it on purpose

I don't get why people find Midir so difficult. I killed him in about 10 tries with big bonk.
