Great video! I am 100% going to start fishing chatterbaits in 2022 and this really helped me understand the when's, where's, and how's!

I feel like everything I've spent years working on and refining was just put into one video and put on blast 😅 The versatility is absolutely amazing.

I do two mods to the blades.
1) wiggle the blade to loosen the action. It deepens the vibration.
2) In conjunction, to strengthen the vibes, cup the blade's lateral sides forward with needlenose plyers (of course, if you wanted to mod to reduce the vibes, bend the edges backwards or cut them back altogether with tin snips).

I was not a believer in the chatterbait but last weekend back to back catches fishes just proved to me that it works. This is a versatile lure.

Love the jackhammer. I want to love the thunder cricket as much but I’ve had issues with the skirts on those… you just can’t beat the jackhammer I reckon.

That's awesome! I'm in Chillicothe Ohio. I've been watching a lot of your videos. I just started targeting bass last year. And your videos really helped me out.

Definitely my 2021 confidence bait. Second to a rattle trap lipless crankbait!! Great video Tyler

Another great video Tyler!
I love throwing Jackhammers on a 7’2” Med. Hvy. Glass rod with a 7:1.1 or higher reel. You definitely need a high speed reel when they’re “really eating” that bait!!

I have also added some tubes as trailers to mix it up for this season.

The terminator shudder bait. My favorite . Basically the same thing but with a plastic curved blade. Caught my PB on it and was prob the most productive lure last season

I just received a couple Stealth Blades, Mini-Max and Big Blade Chatterbaits... looking forward to trying each one out... The Thunder Cricket out performed all other moving baits for me last year

Use a 6.5 inch float trick worm. The worm REALLY dances and hold on the rod, cause they hammer it!

I just recently bought a Zman big blade on your recommendation and caught a nice one on 1st cast. Love all the awesome tips. Thanks

When, where, how. When you're on a body of water, where the deepest part is, you carefully cut off the tip and barb of the hook and baseball what's left into Davy Jones locker. Dispose of the hook remnants in a container in a dumpster. Afterwards, tie on a 4 through 6 plain ol' j bend worm hook, Texas rig a six through 12 inch black plastic worm, and fish it very slowly, as in set the rod down for a minute. Learned that from an old guy decades ago. He had seven bass that morning all over 4.lbs. That was normal for him. While I'm sure that some anglers do have success with a chatterbait, I ain't one of them. Topwaters, frogs and worms etc in pads and weeds and blow downs, that's me. But I seriously do appreciate this young mans videos and skills that he shares, and do learn from them.

I got a mystery box (not from the mb company) and it had one with a hook that wasn't part of the jig head. So kinda like a trailer hook for the main hook. Can't wait to try it this year.

Now that u said something it DOES look like a Green Screen lol i know it's not but it def looks like it bc the outline of your body blurs a little when you move, DOPE CAMERA! That camera is awesome!
