Ive flown southwest, & they're 100% comedians.. even the pilots.. on my flight, the pilot pretended to be han solo w chewy as his co pilot.. the entire flight from start to finish was him getting on the intercom & telling us different star wars'esque things that were goin on around us.. like hed say, if u look to ur left, theres a ty fighter approaching us w bad intentions, we're gonna make a quick maneuver, hang tight.. he'd then dip the wings, & like u could hear the co pilot chewy, making growling sounds in the back.. the whole flight was hella fun 😂🤣

I love it when they describe their smoking lounges: "Just outside our mid plane exits. If you can light them, you can smoke them, and your fellow passengers gets to see one of 2 feature movies: Gone With The Wing or Bye-Bye Birdie!"

I flew Spirit Airlines out of Vegas. The captain said "How was Vegas? Apparently not so good, because you're flying spirit airlines." Made me feel more relaxed.

On a Southwest flight earlier this year, people were taking a long time to find their seats and get seated. One of the flight attendants comes on the PA and says
"Please pick the first available seat and put your bag up so we can leave on time"

I respond with
"Isn't it Southwest policy that the last passenger to get seated has to buy drinks for everyone on board"

Somebody else responds with
"I think so"

And the entire plane erupts in laughter.

There was a black lady attendant for southwest from Chicago to Tulsa in late 2017, man she was on a roll, I was laughing so hard I couldn't catch my breath 100% pure sas out of her.

I worked for 30 years as a flight attendant. No I was not the comedian, however there were those days that a little devil made me do things and had the passengers laughing. At my company we had true comedians sometimes. Even the cockpit crew could give some announcements that had the passengers laugh. It's what kept me going for 30 years and I only look back at a fantastic time during my working life. Never considered the job as actual working, just going from A to B and making the best of it.... a pleasant time.
