Best Apple reviews in YouTube, hands down. Side note: the 2020 27" iMac with i7 and the 5700 GPU lets you run X-Plane 11 at max graphics settings with no stutter. Sweet.

I bought the 8 core i7 version with 5500XT and after I installed new RAM to make it 32 GB, it scores 9000 on the Multi core geekbench 5 benchmark. If the 10 core version is only scoring 9700 with 64GB of memory, I'm glad I didn't get the cpu upgrade

Don't buy this imac 2020 with the max processor and max graphics for day trading on thinkorswim. My 2018 MacBook Pro runs thinkorswim way smoother even though the 2020 i9 is way faster

4:20 thanks for including the Blender benchmark. Would you be so kind to include a Blender Eevee benchmark at some point? Eevee is much better GPU optimized for macOS than Cycles and gives you a better idea of viewport working performance, thank you!!

Interesting to see a Logic “Benchmark”. Here are some notes for the chart: 1. Please add the buffer size 2. the exact track type, audio track, midi track, instrument track and what instrument plugin 3. Are you recording or just playback 4. Are the tracks reading automation or not. 5. are the tracks grouped? In audio it really depends what your are actually doing. The computer specs for working with a lot of sample instruments are very different than what you most likely need for working with audio tracks.

Hello Max, i wanted to point out one thing about the Logic Pro test, as building DAW is my job: sadly, that test is completely useless as it does not by any mean tell the real story about audio production performance. The logic test represents an ideal workload for multi core cpus, scaling with the number of thread in a linear manner (similar to a cinebench test) but realtime usage shown that Xeon multi core cpus like the ones in imac pro and mac pro are TERRIBLE for audio production because of the high latency mesh design of the cpus. I'd love to find a better test to reflect that, but working on real music projects shown that while the cpu was barely hit, on x299 14 core hackintosh (and also x99 12 core) cpu i was not able to work without stutters / digital noise at the same projects that worked fine on our previous 6700k, even when using high buffer size. We moved to 9900k and never looked back.

I'm watching this on my. 2020 5700XT iMac; Got the i7 8 core instead of the 10 core, 32GB of RAM and the 2TB SSD - It's wonderful :) - Though I have experienced a lot of bugs on Big Sur that are not present on my MacBook Pro, so I don't quite think Big Sur is ready for the hardware and needs to go another beta or two before it's where it should be for this iMac

Mac Pro always gets outperformed my a regular iMac in 2-3 years. It's never worth the extra $10k+
