the worst part? this is the *real* mari, getting mad at omori and disabling his run ability. it's quite interesting because she mentions omori not sunny. so i wonder who she's getting mad at since she wants to help sunny.

I think the bad knee is one of the reasons she died when she fell down the stairs, because her leg gave out. So it's like making Sunny/Omori feel guilty because you're pushing her to her limits with her bad knee, which is similar to what happened on the stairs :(

MARI getting angry visibly at this part could also have some reference to how it’s believed SUNNY felt forced by her to continue, maybe SUNNY remembered this and it’s why MARI got mad when alone with OMORI.
