The idea that parents deserve love and respect regardless of how they treat you is so backwards. Those things are earned, you owe no-one for the fact of your birth, and raising kids is something you HAVE to do, it's not optional. If she's glad her mum died, I'm taking it for granted she deserves it.

Y’all folks Needa realize that not everyone had y’all’s childhood. I grew up with both my folks and we had our ups and downs but they are great parents that I still love and talk to regularly. THAT BEING SAID. I can’t tell you how many friends I have that will tell you without hesitation that they “hate” one of their parents. An when I was younger I used to think sayin shit like that was blasphemous but then I grew up and you realize through the horror stories people you meet tell you, Everyone has a reason an jus bc you’re “blood” with someone doesn’t give them excuse to treat you like a piece of shit. So all y’all talkin shit an complaining, try an have a more open outlook.

My mom always hit me when I was a child. She hit my legs with a broom stick until I was not able to stand up, and she will force me to stand up even I was bleeding and In severe pain. This continue to happen until I was 11, but the mental abuse still happen. I tried to get rid of my life but stopped when I was 19 years old.
Few years ago i volunteered at place of neglect kids and I saw many children suffering way worse than me. I met a mom who murder her own daughter because she was so ashamed that her daughter was raped and she was only 7 years old.
I hate this place so much
