The fact that she’s nonchalant means she’s used to hearing and reading shit like that from her mum. So heartbreaking 💔 many many people forget that deadbeat, and abusive mothers exist too

Her mom never intended to disown her - it’s all a manipulative, gaslighting, extortion tactic to control her. Which is even worse than stating the intent to disown her with conviction that wasn’t emotionally extorting. This was done with calculated comprehension of exactly how much she would hurt her child, make her feel desperate abandonment and need after a lifetime of abuse.

Her mother thought she could make her stop immediately and return begging for forgiveness. She knew she could illicit the response she conditioned her daughter to give. She conditioned her daughter to rely solely upon her mother for validation and approval by abusing her mentally and emotionally (and sexually) in her own need to control and infantilise her daughter. She blamed her daughter for causing her cancer.

There is a reason a child wants nothing to do with their parent ( parents) . They did something to make their child not want to be around them when they become an adult.

Im glad she wrote a book on abusive mothers and that its okay when you dont miss them when they die. Shoutout to all children, and adults who have to deal with mothers like this. Eventually this passes and with hardship comes ease. On the brightside you all become a stronger person with optimism for a better life because the worse thing is over and nothing bad can bring you down now.

It’s the fact that I grew up watching stuff like Icarly and Sam and cat to later find out all the horrible things that happened in the back ground.
The fact that her mother had the audacity to say that to her then still ask for money just shows how cruel she was to Jeanette but I’m happy that Jeanette was able to process and heal after going through that…
