I dipped mine in CWF UV clear stain oil based and it worked great thanks to your advice! All 6 side got dipped and the result is fantastic, thank you for posting this video.

Now I feel like I missed out on an opportunity. I just had one side of my barn which is attached to my house re shingled (50'W x 30'H). The crew tore off the old shingles and installed new shingles. They did not stain prior to installing. This particular side of the barn is exposed to severe winds and weather and required replacement. However the shingles on the rest of the barn and the attached house are in great shape.

So now I have weathered gray shingles and one newly sided barn. I feel like I should just let these new shingles weather over time without stain to hope for a color match one day years down the road. My other option is to reshingle the entire barn and house. If I do that, I could pre-stain the next round of shingles and just spray the one side of the burn that was recently installed.

I feel like i made a big mistake

How do you prestain thousands of shingles? You can't stack them. I want to prestain, but handling them is really difficult.
