When will manufacturers cater for the Northern European market though?!….that front “mudguard” is as much use as a chocolate fire guard!….a few days on winter or rainy summer days in the UK and that radiator and undercarriage will be covered in road detritus!….looks great but when parting with ten grand of your hard earned, you want some options to protect its precious parts!!

Addictive, the Monsters are.I’ve had 3 dating back to 2001 and will get another after your convincing review. Thanks Mark!

Rode one last autumn, it was such a pleasure to throw it in corners. It's a well-rounded motorcycle. One of the top choices for me too.

After 3200 miles and 1 year of ownership here is my review. Its a nice bike, handles great, pulls well, brakes are brilliant, tyres are also great. plastic tank don't like it, false neutrals, starting can take 3 times especially in colder weather with full battery it wines a lot and it cuts out, in summer your leg is right there along the engine and it hits 100 degree c, rider aids are good i only really ride in touring tbh. Seats really comfy spent all day out and about 250 miles and no soreness, don't let it go under 4000 rpm cause it will chug a lot. Rode in salt and no protection and nothing ate into the bike so the finish is mint unlike my new XSR900 which went out together the same time and the sprockets chain and suspension had signs of corrosion in 3 days. Servicing can be a bit pricey and i get 50-60 mpg realistically however i don't thrash it thats a mix of riding. I personally would buy a Speed triple RS over this if i had to choose again, i got the XSR900 and its a nice machine, metal tank & smoother too but the suspension on the Ducati is way better.

I have to say that is a beautiful machine for enjoying yourself on your favourite roads on a warm, dry day . I do love big v-twins, so much usable performance, and great handling and braking. Lovely. Great video Mark thanks.

Love this review, and love my Monster if I'm honest. My first ever bike, having only passed my test in July, so not much to compare it with but love it.

Well done Mark! You do manage to put alot of info in your films. Thank you for that! And yes, this is a bike that has been on my list since it came a few years back. I'm trying one tomorrow in Copenhagen. But I'm so happy with my "old" 690 Duke! All these problems!

Took this model out last Friday, totally agree with your views of it, was dialled in with it after 15 mins, awesome bit of kit.

That’s one great looking machine. I was going to comment about the style over function front mudguard but some one beat me to it….😊 thanks for the in-depth and informative review Mark - good stuff 👍

Excellent video again and a lovely bike. It would be nice to see the outline of the engine a bit more instead of all the plastic, but all things considered, I would have one in a heartbeat.

I got mine in 2021 a Ducati Monster 937 + Stealth Black out here in British Columbia. Full Termignoni race exhaust and up map with baffles removed was the best decision for an upgrade on the bike. I also upgraded to the sleek sequential turn signals, tail tidy and a belly fairing and it makes the bike look much better. To complete it I think this spring I will add the Ohlins suspension and steering dampners

I am not sure why Ducati put the rear caliper underneath, so all the road crap gets dumped into it and the front mudguard, which looks pretty useless, but apart from that, looks a very nice bike if you have the money.

BTW Mark, thanks for the great reviews done exactly the way I want them!
It also helps that you are the exact dimensions I am (maybe I'm~ 8kg heavier) also 60ish years old but still fit and riding in a "spirited" but very safe way!
Cheers Mate from Western Australia

Thank you Mark, was hoping you would road test the Ducati soon. Your informative rides are the best. I bought my 937 Monster last August, the best Bike I've ever had!

I agree with you, my fav bikes are the same as yours. I'm going a bit down market by having the new Hornet on order, but it's way, way cheaper than the premium bikes. I saw the Monster at the NEC. I wasn't really impressed with it. There's too much plastic, around the engine in particular. If you say the suspension is very good I will, of course defer to your great experience. It does seem a bit pricy for a bike with no adjustment though. It seems a bit pricy all round though, IMO. Thanks for the review, always excellent.

Great review! After 9 months of ownership and over 4100 miles, I'm absolutely loving mine. Amazing machine. The only bike that I'd say that has a nicer/smoother quick-shifter in that class is the Street Triple RS (another amazing bike). I swear those southern England roadways are meant for a motorcycle...beautiful views! I need to make that place a must-visit.
