2021 Ducati Monster | Smaller and Faster! | First Ride Review | PowerDrift

It’s time to leave the Monsters of the past where they belong. The new Ducati Monster looks nothing like them, and performs better! It’s become compact and lighter which makes it easier to ride. Paired to that is the 937cc L-Twin. Ducati has thrown in the usual, comprehensive bunch of electronic aids that raise the safety quotient of the new Monster. Priced at Rs 10.99 lakh - Rs 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2021 Ducati Monster fights against the Triumph Street Triple and the Kawasaki Z900. Shumi explains why it’s better than before and its competition, in this first ride review from the Buddh International Circuit.

Can someone explain the Varese-Bologna reference? I'm really curious. All I know about the reference is that Varese build Ducati's were made in the Cagiva factory for a while because there was a fire in Ducati Bologna factory. The Varese units are said to be built slightly better. I don't think this is anywhere close to the reference though. Can someone help?

You don't see Shumi saying highly recommend. Seems like a must in his garage.

Shumi, I upgraded from a KTM 390 to a Speed Twin in 2020. And if you had an option for a single vehicle that can do it all, the Triumph gets my vote for everyday use in a city like Mumbai and the occasional tours. Have never ridden a monster, but I think I’ll be visiting Ducati soon to see if you’re right about the Monster being the perfect bike that does it all. Would be interesting to see you compare the monster with the triumph. I know a round headlight when I see one, that also creates a bias towards everything old school. Hence I’ll keep a watch out for a proper comparison of these two, considering both are available to buy now in India. We’re spoilt for choice.

The ducati monster was one of the great bikes in the middle weight segment. The new one is the same, the design looks so gorgeous 😍 that hard to call it a monster 😄. From some Angel it looks like an MV😅only some Angels. Its looks modern with oval shaped LED headlamp with big DRL. Rest of the body work looks compact but superb. Also the monster has gone in terms the engine performance, electronic aids, features as well and as always quality levels are great to. Overall the new monster is exciting package in its class. The review video was awesome guys, the monster looks superb in the track. Please Do a comparison between monster and its competition.

Monster is dead, period.
They have literally removed what makes monster and brought this what ever we call it.
They could have released this with someother name and everyone whole have been happy

Nice MV references.
Varese - MV Agusta factory

Shumi ❤️ brilliant as always... Just one question though is it value for money? There was a statement that if one is upgrading from 390 to a bigger bike they can go to this monster and only service intervals were discussed and not everything to maintain pls let us know that as well.
