I love the way your voice dropped to a whisper when going down a closed road, a sign of a honest man

Love the Freddie Dobs reference. He’s brilliant and so underrated.

Maybe an idea for a future video. When a bike like this has the ohlins fitted, ride it as delivered. Then get someone to set it up for you and have another go. The price difference to the standard model might make more sense, when feeling the difference. :)

The Ohlins is by far the best part of the SP. The adjustability is superb, and really makes a difference. Your 'hard' ride is not inherent, it needs adjusting to your preference.

Andy, just popped back to this video to say that following your modelling of the Bering Jacket on your fine figure, I finally got round to purchasing the jacket. Now, I can't comment yet on its serviceability but I love the fit, feel and versatility. Well pleased, and wouldn't have known or considered it without you introducing it to me via the channel. Just wanted to says thanks.

Dream bike!
I know the new monster split the crowd, but I adore the look, got one in May and have hardly been off it.
All the best and ride safe!

My and my wife’s first bikes after I passed our tests was the then brand new Ducati Monster. Mine in red and hers in yellow. Lovely bikes though much more basic than they are now.

This was my year to change my 2020 Street Triple RS for another middleweight, I'm in my sixties and much as I love sports bikes comfort ruled one out, so I spent two weeks going between dealerships to test ride every middleweight naked, the Yamaha MT-09 and MT-09 SP, the Ducati Monster and Monster SP, the KTM 890R, the Triumph Street Triple R and RS and finally the lovely Kawasaki Z900 RS SE, all the bikes had been upgraded, some just minor tweaks but others such as the Monster and Street Triples with major improvements, every one of these are great bikes and you genuinely couldn't go wrong with any of them, all are great fun and handling is tremendous, in particular the Street triples, the KTM and the Monsters, as for performance once again all are great but Triumphs new upgrades have raised the bar over all the rest, As for the Monsters IMO their upgrades are great for bragging rites but apart from looks and sound I found the SP identical to the standard model, perhaps someone with superior riding skills to mine could prove the SP the better bike, I loved the KTM for its fun factor but even though beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder I couldn't open my garage door every day to have the sight of the 890R hitting me, so I ended up choosing the Street Triple RS (in cosmic yellow) as I love its looks but even better Triumph have improved the handling, braking and performance of what was already a great bike, the great thing is that to the benefit of the biker all the other manufacturers now have to improve their bikes to challenge Triumph, I can't wait to see these great new bikes!

Can’t believe how you wind that thing out. I know it’s made to be “ridden”, but you’re giving it quite the workout 👍

I have those PMJ Cafe Racer jeans as well and love them.

I test rode the standard one the other day, what a fun little bike around the back roads of Worcester and Shropshire. I do miss the look of the trellis frame tho

I had the trellis frame Monster in the US and I sure do miss it. Here in Thailand the Scrambler is $9000, way over my budget. Thanks for this great review : )

Smashing review. I watched until the end where you do the fashion segment. You forgot Kiwi light tan polish for you head🙂🙃

The headlight reminds me of the Robot from the most recent Lost in Space series. Without the trellis frame it seems to have lost a certain something in my eyes.

I think you miss the point with the Ohlins, you can adjust it for any condition, road and track.

Well that was a cheeky manoeuvre TMF. I’ll remember the footpaths technique !
Beautiful bike. Got on the monster at the ABR festival. Attention to detail is outstanding.
