Appreciate your content! Vivent is the worse company to deal with. Run from them. Recent law suit against them. They are exhausting to deal with. I was so excited when my contract was up. I was paying for non working equipment every month. Total nightmare and waste of money. Everyone so your homework on customer reviews!!

which one is the most reliable? i know vivint is pricey but i think it might be the best system even if the lights go out.. im looking to purchase a home security since im going to be working out of state and i want my family safe while im gone.

This company is super friendly to all others than ADT. There is nothing wrong with contracts. You get an alarm to get help in case of an emergency. If you don’t pay your monitoring with a month to month deal then the emergency response won’t arrive. You’ll be paying for a security system that doesn’t work. And even with ADT blue they find something wrong with ADT lol. I’m not a fan of the month to month. But for renters especially in apartments simply safe and blue by adt are great choices. But if you own a home you should only consider ADT, vivint or a reputable local alarm company.

Do you recommend Google nest cameras? I like how they are very compatible with the Google home app. Are there any other cameras that (like the nest) I can monitor and see the recordings through the Google home app?

I had a salesman from Vivent come to my door that talked so fast about their systems that I couldn't grasp all of it in 5 minutes. Too complex and I dont have all the time to operate the system. Too expensive.

when they say 24/7 monitoring does that mean there is somone else watching my home on the camera and will call the police also if im not home or sleep?

ADT is by far the worst security company to deal with. Just because they are the oldest company doesn't mean that they are the best. I had a false alarm at my home and their operator called to verify the alarm. After telling them it was a false alarm they insisted that they were required to notify the fire department, even after providing the proper passcode and clearing the alarm at the panel. And their $50/month monitoring fee is way too much. After my false alarm incident I decided to cancel. I was then informed that it takes them 30 days to process a service cancelation, so they charged me for another month. And the 3-year contract just traps you in. Do not buy ADT.

Funny... these people are just marketers. Don't really know what they are talking about. You can't really compare a wifi system with no 2-way with a 4g cell based system. If power is off or your wifi doesn't work what you gonna do honey?
