I made this sharpener back in 2017 and I think the way it works is pretty neat.

The big question did your saw get sharper when you where cutting the stone!!! ;) hehe.
Great video. Like the shorts

Nice. This invention won't eat nearly as much steel as the carbide sharpeners of similar concept. I stopped using those years ago. A couple of passes, a quick run over a steel, done. Perfect maintenance sharpener.

Very nicely done! This is the first YT short that I liked.

My aunt had a smaller version of this. For razorblades, on each side the same setup and the blade made a circling motion between the stones. Nice simple project, and so handy in the kitchen.

I just love the critics who cannot tell the difference between a stone cutting disc and a toothed table saw blade 😔😂😂😂

In the first demonstration, I mistook the 'coming apart' motion for one of changing angle. Now that I can see that that's not the case, it's an excellent piece.

Watching the saw cut a sharpening stone was painful, ngl.

I love the sponge material for springs!

Wow that is awesome. Have you thought about putting a guide to keep the knife 90 degrees, maybe it doesnt matter that much though.

Besides a great project, I'd like to listen to this music in the shop. What is it? Also, what blade did you use to cut up that stone?
