How to add new plants to your aquarium

Well, this is how I add my plants anyway. Any questions please comment :D

Plants are:

Green plant: Hygrophila corymbosa (not 100% comment if you think different and ill take a look)
Pink plant: Alternanthera reineckii

bought from petco and i had a horrible experience they fell apart before i could put it in the tank and the other one looked small as hell when they pointed at a bigger one

Can all plants be glued to rocks or driftwood or just certain types?
